Recycled Denim #Trending

Denim throw pillow made from recycled pants for Louis Donaghey's #trending theme. Demin's always trending and I'd like recycling to always be trending too! After sewing several strips of demin together (pic 2), I played with ideas of how I'd sew those strips together, thus the other pics included.

Matthew Laurence February Sketchbook

This is my contribution to Andrea Hendrickson's sketchbook titled "I hear it in the deep heart’s core".

It is a collaboration of my 3 year old daughter Naomi, 6 year old son A.J., and a sketch my me. 

I started a drawing on the right with the shadowed figures and while taking a break, my daughter decided to add to it, so in going with the flow I decided to let my son play as well.

Becky makes a mess in Robin's book, "Inspiration"

Robin Balshaw's cover of her sketchbook titled, "Inspiration" asks, "What brings you joy? What inspires you?"

When we travel, I take pictures of tiles, designs, carpets, and textiles. The patterns and colors inspire my doodling. They definitely bring me joy. For Robin's page, I looked at photos of Spanish tiles, Indian rangolis, Suzani embroidery, Tibetan carpets, and Tunisian rugs.

The result, quite frankly, is a bit of a mess:
